Mid-Term Evaluation

18 to 24 months after starting the GSPRE PhD programme, the candidate will have a mid-term evaluation. It serves to

• evaluate the knowledge of the PhD candidate
• assess the progress of the research project
• look at the published work in peer-reviewed journals or the possibility for publication
• define the goals for the remaining period of the PhD programme

The mid-term evaluation will be attended by the advisor, co-advisor and the mentor of the thesis.

IMPORTANT:

• The defense can be scheduled at the earliest 1 year after the midterm exam has been passed.
• The mid-term exam has to be organized by the PhD candidate himself.
